20.30 Adult Ministry Group [20.30 AMG]

20.30 Adult Ministry Group [20.30 AMG] is a ministry for people in their 20s and 30s. This group helps bring people to a deeper experience of God through Jesus Christ by spiritual, educational, and social events. “Physical Faith” is the spring 2012 Sunday school series and explores what embodied faith and spirituality look like. Some topics include addiction, body image, faith and food, yoga, and a Skype session with a New York seminary professor.  We gather at 20.30AMG members’ homes and White Rock Lake for contemplative Holy Eucharist worship services. Some social events are Jazz at the Dallas Museum of Art, sporting outings, and a Mardi Gras celebration at the Americas Ice Skating Complex. “Physical Faith” 

“Physical Faith” is the theme for the 20.30 AMG class meeting at 10AM in the Chapel Conference Room. God becoming Incarnate in Jesus Christ underscores created matter being good. The series explores what embodied faith and spirituality look like. Some topics include obsession and addiction, body image and ideas of beauty, faith and food, yoga fitness, and a Skype session with a seminary professor, theologian, and Jungian therapist.

Tuesday — 6 to 8 p.m
Drake Room 
Knitting is much like prayer. It requires practice, focus, and faith. Knitting is best practiced regularly and with some discipline, but also with a willingness to improvise and innovate. AlterKnit is a group that meets for knitting, conversation, and a unique form of Bible study.
