Mission_ops_2Rebuilding Hope — help us help St. Walgreen’s Church!
April 7 – 10, 2011

St. Walgreen’s is a mission started as a result of the Episcopal Church’s response in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We work alongside members of the Lower Ninth Ward, New Orleans, as they work to rebuild their neighborhood and their lives. Be a part of a significant ministry with our Christian brothers and sisters. We work hard, eat well, and sleep soundly! This is not a trip to the French Quarter; we eat better than that and have more fun doing so.

The cost of the trip is $750.00 (inclusive). For more information, contact David/Jo Loomis () or Robert/Nancy Wilbur ().

rosebud_childRosebud Reservation, South Dakota
2011 dates TBA

On this trip, participants make new friendships, perform rewarding labor, and find doors opening to a deeper, more fulfilling spiritual life.  Our work projects vary from year to year and are generally developed in response to a request from the community. The Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation is located in south central South Dakota and home to 21,250 members of the Sicangu band of the Lakota or Teton Sioux.

Feeding the Least, the Last and the Lost

Cooking at Casa Youth Shelter

casa

Want to spend three hours on a Saturday in a significant and life changing way? Join us to cook for the residents of the Casa Youth Shelter (2640 Webb Chapel Extension — just south of NW Hwy). CASA is a temporary home for children who can no longer live at home. We need up to eight volunteers who must be 18 or older to cook. 2011 dates are February 5, April 16, and June 4. We need about six to eight people to help us cook. Join us!

CASA always looks forward to our visits, and it is a great reward to what is a challengingly structured week for them. Bring a cup of coffee and know that the food will be plentiful. Thanks for your consideration! The kids are great and WE have a good time …!

For more information, contact The Reverend Kevin Huddlestonn ( or 214-363-5471) or Randall Robin ( or 214-334-7096).

NDallas_Shared_MinistriesFill a Grocery bag, feed a family for week — North Dallas Shared Ministries

For the past 26 years we have filled grocery bags during the months of November, February and July for the North Dallas Shared Ministries. Look for the brown grocery bag with the list stapled to it after worship during those months. Fill them up, bring them back to the Lanai Room and we will make sure they get to deserving people. We are giving a hand up, not a hand out.
