A New Ministry for Jemonde Taylor
Friends in Christ:
Saint Michael continues to be my place of commencement, a place of new beginnings. I began ordained ministry here as a deacon and recent seminary graduate in 2009. Later that year, I celebrated my ordination to the priesthood with you. After three years of ministry here, I embark on a new adventure that takes me back home to be rector of St. Ambrose Church, Raleigh, NC.
I consider it an honor and blessing to serve as Missioner at Saint Michael, Jubilee Park, and St. Philip’s School. I experience Saint Michael as welcoming and hospitable. This church family is a group of committed and devout Christians. The environment helped form, grow, and deepen my ministry. I will carry with me many lessons learned as I journey forward. I value the Saint Michael friendships formed and fostered during my time here.
I leave Saint Michael better equipped to minister with God’s people. Both of us learned from each other. I will always remember Saint Michael since this is where I began ordained ministry. You are truly a blessing and gift from God.

Jemonde's last Sunday at Saint Michael will be August 19. There will be a goodbye reception at 12:15 p.m. in the Garden Cloister after he preaches at the 9 and 11 a.m. Church services. You may contribute to his gift by sending a check to the Church with the note, "for Jemonde."
