Faith and Grief Luncheons

 “… I’m a typical guy who never talks about feelings.  Coming here has helped me talk it out … and I always feel better when I leave ….” If you are grieving the loss of a loved one, we invite you to join others who are experiencing similar losses and share how faith intersects with grief. Our Faith and Grief Luncheon meets on the first Wednesday of the month, from 12 to 1 p.m. in the Coke Activities Room at Saint Michael and All Angels.  On the second Thursday, a new Faith and Grief Luncheon will be held at Baylor University Medical Center, 10th floor ARA Room, 3410 Worth Street (between Hall and Washington).  On the third Wednesday of the month from 12 to 1 p.m. a Faith and Grief Luncheon is held at the Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church (9800 Preston Road).

Grief knows no denomination. It just hurts. This ecumenical event is open to people of all denominations. The Faith and Grief Luncheons are a collaboration of the two grief ministries from Saint Michael and All Angels and Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church under the sponsorship of Faith Presbyterian Hospice. They are open to anyone hurting over the loss of a loved one. There is no charge for the lunch; however, reservations are required and donations are welcomed.

THE NEXT LUNCHEON AT SMAA IS SEPTEMBER 7, 2011 AT 12 NOON IN THE COKE ACTIVITIES ROOM.

The second Thursday luncheon will take place at Baylor University Medical Center on September 15.

The third Wednesday luncheon will take place at Preston Hollow Presbyterian on September 21.
