Saint Michael Mission/Outreach Distributes $145,000 in 2011 Grants
The Mission/Outreach Executive Committee approved the distribution of $145,000 in grants for 2011 to charities and community service organizations in which Saint Michael is involved. The grants committee received requests from 18 entities totally more than $240,000.
Following is a listing of the organizations and the amounts they received.
1. All Saints Camp and Conference Center - $1,500
2. Amistad Mission - $10,000
3. Austin Street Center - $9,250
4. Honduras Threads - $4,000
5. Forest Heights Neighborhood - $1,250
6. Great Texas Community Partners - $2,000
7. Honduras Mission Trip - $4,750
8. Jubilee Park & Community Center - $60,000
9. North Dallas Shared Ministries - $14,500
10. Our Friends Place - $3,500
11. Rosebud Indian Reservation - $10,000
12. St. Philip’s School & Community Center - $5,000
13. St. Simon’s After School program - $5,000
14. Visiting Nurse Association Meals on Wheels - $14,000
