Jubilee Park and Community Center

Jubilee Park neighborhood is defined as the 62-block area in southeast Dallas bounded by I-30, Fair Park , and the East Grand Corridor. The relationship between Jubilee and Saint Michael started 12 years ago when the church was celebrating its 50th anniversary and, "rather than add another statue," Saint Michael decided to mark the milestone in a different way. It wanted to focus on a community in Dallas that also centered on children's needs. A dozen years later, among the results are an early childhood education center called Davids' Place with 171 students, a farmers market, a secure environment, personal enrichment programs such as an exercise program, and much more. The biggest and most compelling result, however, is that a neighborhood has developed and grown in an otherwise neglected, forgotten area. Click here to see our video.
