Children (Stewardship)

“Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Stewardship Children pic 1Simply stated, stewardship is using the gifts God has given us to do the things God asks (calls) us to do. In Sunday School this fall, Sunday school teachers will talk to the children about the importance of giving to support the church. We hope that encouraging children to give at a young age will teach them valuable stewardship skills that they will carry into adulthood.

Stewardship Children pic 2The week before Stewardship Sunday, each child (3 years to 5th grade) will receive a pledge card and offertory envelopes to use for his or her own offering.  Let your child know that you are making a family stewardship pledge.  Together, bring the family pledge card and your child’s pledge card to church on Stewardship Sunday, October 16, 2011, and share the experience of giving back to God in gratitude for the blessings He has bestowed on us.

Let's teach our children the importance of sharing our God given Blessings.
