Christmas at the White House is one of the grandest celebrations of the year and Laura Dowling was responsible for making it happen during the Obama administration. She will be at the St. Michael’s Woman’s Exchange in Highland Park Village Tuesday, November 14 to sign her book, A White House Christmas, between 1:30 and 3:00 p.m.

Her book takes one behind-the-scenes of the complex, yearlong planning process of creating some of the most innovative and ambitious homemade displays ranging from floral vases of sugar to robotic versions of the First Family dogs. In addition to detailing her White House experiences, Ms. Dowling will share advice and ideas for planning holiday displays for your home including step-by-step instructions for recreating some of the original White House holiday designs.
