Retreats

Spirituality is one way of talking about our intimate connection with God and how that relationship is born out in daily life. Dedicating time for prayer and worship enhances that connection. In addition, setting aside time throughout the year for reflection, prayer, and thoughtful conversation slows the pace of our busy lives so that we can return to them energized with God’s Spirit.

This coming year, Saint Michael will offer retreats and quiet days for Advent and Lent. A Couples Retreat will take place in the spring. A day-long off-campus prayer retreat will feature time for discussion and personal reflection. Other retreats are offered by various ministries at Saint Michael throughout the year. Please watch parish publications for these events.

Advent Adventures

Marva_DawnDr. Marva Dawn
Educator with “Christians Equipped For Ministry” and teaching fellow at Regent College, she is author of numerous books and articles including In The Beginning GOD: Creation, Culture and the Spiritual Life, Joy in Divine Wisdom, and Talking the Walk: Letting Christian Language Live Again.

The weeks before Christmas easily get swallowed up in parties, gift-buying, and preparations.  When Christmas arrives, we are joyful. But we are also tired. The 4 weeks of Advent invite us to some quiet and reflection, to practices and rituals, which make this time of year less frenetic. Advent gives meaning to the practice of patience and waiting, making the glory of Christmas even more bright
$10 per person
