“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:21
The Bible talks a great deal about gratitude and generosity. The psalms are filled with calls for thanksgivings. Thanksgiving is the outward sign of gratitude expressed in worship and prayer. We acknowledge what God has already done in our lives and we are prompted to be generous. Worship begins with gratitude, prayer begins with gratitude, giving begins with gratitude.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. Philippians 4:6
THANK YOU to everyone who has pledged in the past and plan to continue pledging. We hope you will stretch your giving potential this year. Additionally, we ask those of you who have not pledged to prayerfully consider doing so this year. We have been blessed in so many ways, and we are called to be Christians with a generous attitude. Our focus should not be on what we have to do but what we want to do to strengthen the mission and ministries of our parish.
As we begin a new year at Saint Michael and All Angels, there is so very much for which to be grateful. Those who make sacrificial gifts to the ministry of our church are motivated by gratitude. Some of us are grateful for what the church is doing for us, our children, and families. Some of us are grateful for pastoral care received. Some of us are grateful for the youth programs and adult formation classes that help to shape us into the disciples we are today. Some of us are grateful for what our facilities and programs can do for people yet to come to our church. Others are thankful for the chance to share in the church's outreach and mission. The reasons may differ but every sacrificial gift to the work of our church is grounded in gratitude.
No amount is too small. Your Thank Offering will make a difference!
We are deeply grateful for your generous spirit and support for Saint Michael and All Angels.
