Honduras Threads Recruitment Dinner

Coke Activities Room

Adults are needed to go on mission to Tegucigalpa, Honduras the week of June 24-29, to work with the women of Honduras Threads as they continue their journey toward sustainability. Working with a veteran facilitator, we will teach simple concepts and practical tools to manage their new social enterprise.

We need men and women to make presentations and participate in large and small group activities (training will be provided), as well as individuals to conduct interviews with photography and videography. No Spanish is required.

Come celebrate Women’s History month at Jubilee Park & Community Center with our annual Mother Daughter Tea.

  • Provide food items
  • Help with games and a raffle
  • Make sandwiches
  • Volunteer during the event and help with crafts
  • Set up and clean up

WOSM Day of Service at Jubilee Park
Apr 6 @ 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

The second annual Women of Saint Michael day of service at Jubilee Park & Community Center will be on Friday, April 6 from 9 a.m. to noon. Join the group for gardening, playing Senior Bingo, reading to children, rocking babies, and helping Jubilee get ready for their annual Health Fair. This is a great way to come together in joyful service to the Jubilee community and celebrate the love of the Easter season!

Free childcare will be provided at the Church. If you need childcare, just check the box in the RSVP form below after you click “yes” to tell us you’re coming.

Volunteers are needed for the following opportunities:

Gardening: Help provide Jubilee Park with fresh food by aiding in the spring planting of the ever-expanding Jubilee community gardens, led by Katie Whiteman. Bring work gloves and any planting tools you might find helpful if you have them.

Davids’ Place: Join group leaders Maria Martin and Arden Showalter as they walk you over to Davids’ Place where the staff will put you to work either working with the children or helping the staff organize.

Jeanie’s Place: Join Jeanie Laube and Squeaky Connolly at Jeanie’s Place where you will be able to help take care of the babies as well as help the staff as needed.

Senior Bingo: Join Karen Pardoe and Jean Coleman as they organize Bingo for the seniors in the community center.

Health Fair Committee: Help Tricia Stewart prepare mailings or make snack bags for the children of Jubilee in preparation for the Jubilee Health Fair on April 28.

Cook for Human Trafficking Victims

Project Moses is a Saint Michael ministry devoted to fighting human trafficking. During 2018, we will cook and serve meals for human trafficking victims, and we need volunteers to join us. Cooking will happen on Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:30 in the Parish Hall Kitchen, and 7 volunteers are needed to put together the meal.
