Lay Chaplains

Community of Saint Benedict is a unique program consisting of persons whose primary ministry in the church is pastoral care. After completing in-depth training, these selected individuals are commissioned as "Lay Chaplains" and serve in specialized ministries (such as Hospice, grief and AIDS).

Their mission is to create a Christian community of volunteer Lay Chaplains united in prayer, shaped by Benedictine spirituality and equipped for pastoral care ministries.
