Children and Family Ministry is working with the Mahlia Jackson School in New Orleans, Louisiana for our Mission/Outreach project. We have finished the book collection and the mission trip was a huge success! If you would like to pictures from the trip, please click here.
Children and Family Ministry is working on putting together a family mission trip for the weekend of November 14-16 for families who were not able to attend our spring trip. Friday evening, the group will eat at Mulate's, a cajun restaurant with great food, music, and dancing. The group will spend Saturday morning working at the Mahlia Jackson School followed by lunch at Cafe Reconcile. Saturday afternoon, families will go on a Katrina tour of the city then have free time until dinner. Sunday morning, everyone will attend Trinity Church followed by lunch and then return to Dallas. If you are interested in participating in this trip, please contact Children and Family Ministry.
Child Protection Program
Anyone who wishes to volunteer with our Children and Family Ministry program is required to take the Child Protection Program. Please click here for more information. The next class will be held,

Each year, we present the Nativity Story in the Church. This year, the Pageant will be on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at 2:00 and 4:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School
During the first full week of June, we have our Junior Guide (3rd, 4th & 5th graders) training for Vacation Bible School in 2009 (June 1-5). All ages come join in for all the fun, music, and learning from June 8 - 12, 2009. Vacation Bible School is for Three year olds through Third grade. Your child must be Three year old by September 1, 2008 to participate in the 2009 Vacation Bible School. We ask Fourth and Fifth graders to be Junior Guides who help the teachers in the classroom. We ask Sixth graders and above to help with drama, dancing, and outdoor games. Stay tuned for the 2009 theme.

| The Knights in the Order of the Archangel are coming to Saint Michael's Fifth Grade Sunday School class!! This year, Michael, Trinity, Mary and their friends take a wondorous journey through the Bible, Prayer Book, fictional and learning situations that parallel life's challenges. The decisions made by Michael and his friends will be based on their exercise of good judgement in response to life's challenges facing them throughout the year. Traditional Sunday School

| Children's Sunday School, using the Workshop Rotation Model, meets from 10:00 to 10:50 a.m. Sunday School is for children 3 years old through 5th grade. Children must be 3 years old by September 1, 2008 to participate in the 2008-2009 Sunday School year. The 3 year olds through 3rd Grade are studying Stewardship, Abraham, and Advent this Fall. The Fourth grade will be looking at the main stories of the Old Testament this Fall. They are talking about the overall story of the Bible and how these individual stories fit in and what do these individual stories mean for them today in 2008. During the summer, we have Sunday School for the children in room106. We combine the children into one class. |

Make A Joyful Noise

| Make a Joyful Noise is a Sunday School program where children hear the story of the day told in a fun way and sing praise music led. This program is for the Three year olds through Third grade and is part of the Workshop Rotation Model. |

Catechesis of The Good Shepherd

| Catechesis of The Good Shepherd will be offered this year on Sunday mornings for three to six year olds from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and six to nine year olds from 10:00 to 11:15 a.m. There will also be a class on Monday afternoons for the three to six year olds from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Catechesis of The Good Shepherd uses the Montessori approach to develop children's inherent spirituality. Children will learn about the Bible, the sacraments, and worship. Classes are full at this time for 2008-2009. |
