Angels Among Us
Angels Among Us  is the umbrella organization and Steering Committee for the Good Shepherd Program, Ministry to Newcomers Committee, Extended Care Cooks, and the Funeral Reception Guild. The chairs of each of these committees as well as the designated staff, Public Relations and Vestry Liaison meet monthly.

The Good Shepherd Program
Is a ministry of presence, communication, and caring. Each of us is asked to be a channel of Christ’s love by responding to the needs of others and by creating a sense of community. Thus, the parish has been geographically divided into neighborhoods. Each neighborhood has a Good Shepherd who wants to respond to the needs of parishioners in that area — sharing not only in the good times but also in times of need by caring in illness and giving help and hope when the unexpected happens.

The area number for your Good Shepherd neighborhood is listed for each parishioner in this directory entry following the zip code, e.g. Dallas, TX, 75225 002A. The Good Shepherd Neighborhood listing in this directory has the individual neighborhoods with the Shepherds listed as well as the individual families that are part of each Good Shepherd neighborhood.

Inquirers' Class - Fall 2007

At the conclusion of the Inquirers’ Class the Ministry to Newcomers provides Mentors to each confirmand, to those being Received and to those who are being Reaffirmed. The Mentors then follow up with the confirmands on several occasions during the following six months.

Welcoming Ministry - more
Welcomes those who come to Saint Michael and All Angels including: visitors, new members, and those who transfer from other Episcopal churches. Newcomers are connected with the appropriate channels, persons, and ministries within the parish, according to their individual gifts and interests. At the conclusion of the Inquirers’ Class, the Ministry to Newcomers provides Mentors to the confirmands, to those to be received and to those who are being reaffirmed.  Click here if you are interested in joining Saint Michael and All Angels.

We are always looking for volunteers to help with every aspect of the church and would welcome you to bring your talents to Saint Michael.  Be sure to stop by the Angel Board between the Adult Ministries office and the Power Room where you will find many volunteer opportunities available throughout the church.
Extended Care Cooks is a committee that provides a home cooked meal each Thursday to parishioners who are in a long-term crisis situation.

The Funeral Reception Guild
Lovingly puts together funeral receptions. The Guild brings baked goods so that family members can receive friends and family in the parlor after a service.
