Child Protection Program

What is The Edge?
The Edge is a junior youth group for 4th & 5th graders that meets two Sunday evenings each month from 4:30-6:00 p.m. unless a special time is noted on the calendar.  We spend time together playing games, reading the Bible, and applying it to our lives, talking, and sharing our problems and joys.  We also do outreach around Dallas, such as work at Austin St. Shelter, and inreach to help different ministries in our own church community.

In addition to our Sunday evening meetings, we meet for ice cream or hot chocolate at a nearby coffee shop each Wednesday from 4:00-5:00 p.m.  See the calendars for which part of The Edge group meets each week.

Permission Forms and Payment Information
For every event held away from the church, parents will need to fill out a permission form that will be linked to this page and the page with information about the event.  When the church provides transportation to and from an event, the permission form will need to be notarized.  There will be a general release covering all events at the church coming soon. 

When an event has a fee, the fee can be paid ahead of time or the day of the event.  All checks are made out to SMAA and on the memo line need to have the name of the event.
