Care Ministries
Pastoral Care at Saint Michael and All Angels consists of four large ministry segments: Cards, Phone Calls, Support, and Visitation. Each of these areas is a specific endeavor to make meaningful connections in the lives of our parishioners and guests.
The Mission Statement for Pastoral Care “Our Care Ministries love, support, and bless our parish family and friends by caring for them through life’s joys and challenges.” These 21 words represent who we are as members of Christ’s Body in this corner of God’s Kingdom.
The following are ministries in which parishioners serve as volunteers carrying out the mission of the Pastoral Care Department. There are no scheduled meetings of these groups.
Angel Food Cooks
Angel Food Cooks is a ministry made up of volunteers who are available to provide a delicious meal to parishioners in need. Those receiving the meals are individuals and families of Saint Michael and All Angels who may be going through a challenging time due to a recent hospitalization, ongoing illness, or the birth of a child. If you are interested in being an Angel Food Cook, please contact Katherine Bowen, [email protected] or Gay Rekerdres, [email protected] with questions.
Card Ministry
The Card Ministry, working with the Pastoral Care office, stays in touch with parishioners by sending cards of sympathy on the deaths of loved ones and cards are sent to the homebound in celebration of birthdays and holidays. A greeting also goes to the precious new arrivals of our Saint Michael families.
