Worship Support
Here at Saint Michael and All Angels, we are a worshipping parish. During an average week, we have as many as 20 worship services in our worship spaces. So much liturgy and worship requires the help of many hands and voices. If you would like to take a more active role in worship as a lay reader, acolyte, usher, or altar guild member please contact Dianne Boyd, our Assistant for Liturgy and Worship at 214-363-5471 ext. 255 or . There are various training sessions throughout the year.
Acolyte Corps
The Acolyte Corps has of 200 persons (adults and youth) who serve at the altar assisting the priests.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is responsible for the preparation and care of the vestments, vessels, flowers and linens used at the altar.
Lectors
The Lector Corp. is a group of lay persons who read the day's lessons and lead the Prayers of the People.
Ushers
The Usher Corps consists of approximately 100 men and women dedicated to making all feel welcome, and to a high quality worship experience for all.
