God has given each of us many talents. We use these talents with our families, at school, and for fun. When we use these gifts, though, are we using them with God in mind? Are we careful stewards of the gifts God has given us? Do we share those gifts with others with a joyful heart? The Bible tells us that God loves a cheerful giver, and we at Saint Michael want to live that message every day.

Many of you already give of your time and talent to Saint Michael and All Angels. Think about the time you serve as an acolyte or lay reader, on a mission trip, in musical performances, tutoring at Jubilee, or even attending Live Wire or Small Groups. These are places where we share all God has given us with those we love and those we do not even know.

As we move into the stewardship season this fall at Saint Michael and All Angels, we ask you each to consider the Bible stories of the five loaves and two fishes or the widow’s mite. They teach us that seemingly small contributions, given from the heart, can produce a great spiritual yield. As a student, your contributions to our church may not total a high dollar amount, but the money and time you give is multiplied by the work done with that money and time to create greater things in the world. In essence, when you share with others, great things happen … God’s love is multiplied.
