Adam Jones Named AVL & Technology Manager

Adam Jones (M.A., CTS) will be joining us as the new full-time AVL & Technology Manager. Adam will be taking over all of the digital setup responsibilities that are currently being completed by Ross Badgett, and will also be the technology asset manager for church equipment not covered Roland Tech (IT team covering computers & network). He will work business hours Monday - Thursday each week, and then be the Audio-Visual-Lights supervisor on Sundays, leading the AVL team for our morning and special services. Adam will also, on Mondays, be working on our video stock footage for future projects. Below is his biography.
Since entering the workforce, Adam Jones has been implementing technology solutions for religious and educational institutions. His experience includes leading installation teams, programming panel interfaces, and designing AV solutions for classrooms and event spaces.
As an event coordinator, Adam has organized guest panels, concerts, and celebrity appearances, from intimate lectures with best-selling authors to crowded concerts with award-winning musicians. Adam's training includes a current CTS certification as well as licensed training in sound engineering and panel programming.
Adam Jones holds an M.A. in medieval studies from Southern Methodist University, where he wrote an academic thesis on historiography of the Venerable Bede. He's worked as a historical adviser for writers and filmmakers, lectured at academic conferences on monastic practices, and even written a board game or two. Adam occasionally gets the itch to travel; he has walked along the top of the Canadian National Tower, toured the battlements of the walls of Toledo, and observed the rare Byzantine rites performed in the Italian Abbey of Grottaferrata. Adam has been married to Dr. Christine Jones, a Bob Dylan scholar and local singer/songwriter, for 11 years.
