Distinguished Lecturer Ben Malcolmson Wows Saint Michael Audience With Testimony
Monday, May 20 A packed audience was treated to a unique story of following God's call from Distinguished Lecturer Ben Malcolmson, Highland Park High School alumnus and son of parishioners Ken and Stacey Malcolmson. Now with the Seattle Seahawks, Ben's journey began as a writer for the University of Southern California's school newspaper. Ben tried out for the top-ranked Trojans football team to write a humorous column about walk-ons, and miraculously made the team as a wide receiver.
Ben told everyone his inspiring story of persevering through hardship, which you can watch in full via the video player above. Ben's tale of wrestling with God's purpose for placing him on the USC football team is a resonant metaphor for each of us as we discern God's call in our own lives.
After the presentation, Ben signed copies of his book, Walk On, and visited with attendees. His book is available for purchase in the Saint Michael Book Shop or on Amazon.
