2019 ANGEL CHEF WINNERS: HOLY SMOKES!

WHAT A BLAST!!
The 2019 SMAA Top Angel Chef Cooking Competition was a huge success! 7 amazing teams duked it out, Monday, March 25 in front of a lively crowed at 3015, located at Trinity Groves, just across the Margaret Hill Hunt bridge in Dallas, TX.
This feverish competition was modeled after the TV show Chopped and judged by the creator of the show, Chef Sharon Van Meter! Terese Finitzo, who submitted the winning bid for the “guest judge experience” at the Parish Party Auction, sat alongside Chef Van Meter to judge each team’s creative dish. Dishes were prepared from scratch by the teams using baskets of mystery ingredients.
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to the Holy Smokes team (Nancy Skochdopole, Cici Weinmann, Lydia Addy, Matt Schooler, and Margaret Spellings) for taking this year’s top spot! In addition to the 1st place award, the “Spirit Award” was given to the ladies of the Saint Michael Episcopal School team, who were rocking their SMES smocks.
FIRST PLACE: Holy Smokes
SECOND PLACE: Farmers Market
THIRD PLACE: Stud Muffins
