Rector's Bible Study

Wednesday, March 10, 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Streamed live! Visit saintmichael.org/RBS for details.

Join Chris for an exciting study of Daniel and Revelation, the two most significant apocalyptic books of the Bible. We will consider how these books have been understood (and misunderstood!) throughout Jewish and Christian history, and how they can guide us in our own discipleship today. Enneagram & Parenting

Wednesday, March 10, 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM

7-8 p.m. Via Zoom

Children raised in the same home with the same parents can have very different personalities.  This is because, regardless of environment, we are each born with a disposition toward our personalities.  And parents have their own personalities that impact how they parent. Enneagram & Parenting looks at each of nine numbers and their tendencies and priorities that show up in parenting.  It also helps parents understand how their number may have compatibility or conflict with children who are different numbers.  The goal of the class is for us to understand ourselves and become better parents to our children regardless of their number. Completion of The Enneagram Journey class is required in order to participate in any Enneagram Intensive offering. For questions and registration, please contact Mary Lessmann at [email protected].

Musical Masterworks for Lent and Holy Week

Thursday, March 11, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Led by Meg Harper
Online via Zoom

Join us this Lent as, over the course of six Thursdays, we dive deeply into music that is thematically linked to Lent and Holy Week. We will examine masterworks of Western sacred music including the Allegri "Miserere," J.S. Bach's "St. John Passion," Thomas Tallis's "Lamentations of Jeremiah," and more. This class assumes some knowledge of basic music terminology, but does not require an advanced musical background. For more information and for the Zoom access code, reach out to Meg Harper at [email protected].

If you are new to Saint Michael, curious about the path to membership, or simply want to learn more about life at our parish community, we invite you to join us for two different class events we have throughout the year: "Saint Michael 101" is an introduction to life here at SMAA, and "Episcopal Christians", where we explore what it means to walk as a Christian in the Episcopal tradition, discussing topics like our Anglican heritage, worship, the Bible and formation etc.

Flowers in our holy worship spaces are a beautiful gift to God and those who attend services at Saint Michael as well as those being honored or remembered. A contribution to the Flower Fund is a meaningful way to honor or remember a loved one for special life events such as birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, confirmations, thanksgivings, or in memory of a loved one.

Flower Memorials

The Foundation of Saint Michael and All Angels is essential to the vitality, growth, stability and success of our parish. Its grants support the mission of the Parish, consistent with priorities established by the Vestry and the Rector.
