The Enneagram

The Enneagram is a personality assessment tool that helps us learn more about ourselves so that we might learn more about how we are in a relationship with God and with the people most important to us. We invite you to participate in the journey! Beginner classes are offered regularly, and we offer continuing opportunities for learning to a growing community of graduates.

Once You Have Taken The Enneagram Journey
Intensives
Saint Michael and All Angels began offering The Enneagram Journey, a 12-week DVD based curriculum, during the fall of 2016. Since that time, over 250 folks have taken the class. With that many Enneagram graduates among our parishioners, we’ve long wanted to offer some deeper classes to encourage continuing work. The sequestering that has been part of our safety response to the pandemic has provided a silver lining in the form of the opportunity to write these classes!
In the fall of 2020, SMAA introduced Enneagram Intensives. Enneagram Intensives are short classes on specific topics that will assist and encourage you in ongoing Enneagram work. Topics currently being developed are: Enneagram and Spiritual Practices, Triads and Spiritual Growth, Enneagram and Parenting, and Enneagram and Relationships. These short-term classes will be offered with some regularity, so you can choose the days and times that best fit your schedule. Class size will be limited to provide a more individualized experience and to facilitate deeper group discussions. Classes will be led by Rev. Mary Lessmann. Initially, we’re planning for virtual classes, but might be able to pivot to physical classes if our current situation changes. Registration is required.
Enneagram @ Work
Wednesdays, November 3-17
7-8 p.m. in the Theater
Led by Rev. Mary Lessmann
Many of us spend as many hours each week in our work setting as we do with our loved ones or pursuing personal interests. If work, or service, is the arena in which we spend so much of our lives, we are called to reflect on how we are – or are not - ‘loving God and neighbor’ in this setting. Whether in a corporate environment or in community service, how are our interactions with others bringing out the best in them, in ourselves and in the organization? In Enneagram @ Work we will explore these questions and discuss how each Enneagram number tends to ‘show up’ for work, the synergies and challenges they have with other numbers, and what they desire from their vocation.
This 3-week class, led by The Rev. Mary Lessmann, will be held on Wednesday evenings, November 3, 10, and 17 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Theater. Having completed The Enneagram Journey is a prerequisite for this class. To register, please contact Mary at [email protected].
Enneagram Encore... The Continuing Journey
Every 3rd Monday or Tuesday of the Month (Except Holidays) via Zoom
Mondays from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Tuesdays from 1 - 2:30 p.m.
Led by Mary Ann Webster
The 250+ graduates of the 12-week course on the Enneagram will now have the opportunity to come together to share their experiences of living into their unique way of being in the world with one another. These gatherings which will be offered monthly both in the daytime and evenings throughout the year. We will build on the knowledge gained discussing in greater depth what it means to be in the heart, head, or gut triad to how we are progressing in dealing with the numbers we go to for security or in stress and so many other facets of using enneagram knowledge to grow more into the person God created us to be. Let’s come back together to continue the journey!
