Legacy Planning
The All Angels Society is dedicated to recognizing those who have remembered Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church or All Angels Foundation through bequests or other forms of estate planning. The All Angels Society celebrates the legacy giving that continues to further the mission and ministries of our beloved parish.
Through wills, trusts, annuities, insurance and other forms of planned giving, parishioners’ planned gifts advance our mission to spread God’s love and make a lasting impact on our community. Every bequest, whether a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your assets, or the residual estate, represents a powerful testament of faith and gratitude, leaving an indelible mark on the journey of our parish.
To learn more about the All Angels Society or to let us know of your existing estate plans, we invite you to complete an inquiry form. There are many ways to make a planned gift, and each provides unique benefits and can help you to achieve your financial and charitable goals.
By including Saint Michael in your estate plan, you become part of a profound legacy, embracing the opportunity to sustain and enhance our ministries and programs for the benefit of generations to come.
For inquiries and further assistance, we invite you to reach out to Caroline Moore. Learn more about how to leave a gift that will continue to help Saint Michael build a community of active disciples bringing others to Jesus.
Legacy Planning Q & A
To remember Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in my will, do I designate the church or All Angels Foundation?
You may designate either “All Angels Foundation or “Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Dallas, Texas.” All bequests are turned over to All Angels Foundation to be independently managed and invested to enhance the ministries of the Church.
If I want to add a bequest to the church, do I need to completely re-do my will?
Although revisiting your will on a regular basis is always a good idea, it is possible to make a bequest without completely re-doing your will. This can be accomplished by a stand-alone amendment to your will called a codicil.
Can you suggest a sample codicil?
The same codicil may not work for every person. All Angels Foundation would be happy to assist you in this process.
Can I specify how a gift from my estate is to be used by the church, if, for example, I have a particular interest in music, or outreach, or education?
Certainly. All Angels Foundation currently manages a number of funds designated to assist specific programs.
Does All Angels Foundation spend only the interest earned by its funds, or does it invade the corpus when necessary?
Unless a donor specifies otherwise, The Foundation distributes only income earned on its funds. It maintains the corpus as a continuing legacy.
If I have already remembered the church in my will, why do I need to join the All Angels Society?
All Angels Foundation has established the All Angels Society to acknowledge and thank the donors who have included the Church in their wills. And we hope we might use your generous example to encourage others to follow suit.
