Thank you for your pledge of financial support to Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church for the 2025 year. Your commitment to giving encourages all of us as we grow as disciples and allows us to meet the needs both within and outside of our campus community.
God calls us to be good stewards of his great creation as we share our time, talents, and treasures with others. Giving to our annual stewardship campaign, Building the Kingdom, is a fundamental part in growing as disciples of Christ. As you entrust Saint Michael to be faithful stewards of your gifts, you are committing to supporting the work we do to deepen our ministries, grow our initiatives, and invest in staff as we carry out our core focus to Build Christian Disciples for a Transformed Community.

From the Rector
Growth does not happen accidentally. As followers of Jesus, our growth happens because we make clear commitments. Those commitments flow together with the Holy Spirit to build us up. As a church family, we are given the opportunity to commit together. Although it’s possible to be a disciple of Jesus on our own, it’s not a good idea. Left to our own devices, we will almost certainly fall short.
Commitment is going to be the big idea for this fall. Commitment is how our discipleship goes from being a hope to being an action. When we commit, we begin the journey of true transformation. This fall, I want you to make a personal commitment of your treasure that stretches you in a meaningful way. I want you to make a financial commitment because you wish to commit yourself to God’s work in his kingdom. This fall, I want you to commit your treasure to a path of discipleship that will mold and form and challenge and transform your heart.
This year, as our physical life is transformed around us, commit your treasure to our shared mission and ministry so that we can continue to build the kingdom together through the work we do here at Saint Michael. God wants you—all of you—and God knows that where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The Rev. Dr. Christopher D. Girata
Rector
As we grow in our capacity to pray, to learn, to serve, and to give, we not only become more like Christ ourselves, but we also help draw others to Jesus.
-The Rev. Dr. Andrew Grosso,
Senior Associate for Discipleship
PRAY
Through prayer and worship, we deepen our relationship with God as we engage with him in our daily lives. He reveals to us the great work he is doing in our lives and in the world, and invites us to join him in that work.
“As someone who grew up at Saint Michael, and now seeing my children grow up here, passing the concept of stewardship onto the next generation is so important. It’s amazing to see the excitement in my girls’ eyes when they contribute to something our family believes in.”
–Gregory Greene, Jr.
LEARN
Learning is a lifelong journey as we recognize more and more how the Gospel touches every part of our lives. We discover how Jesus invites us to know the truth that sets us free by studying the traditions, teachings, and practices of the Bible and of the Church.
“The more we offer, the more our lives are blessed in all aspects. I find great joy in continually learning and growing through listening to Weekday Meditations, the Rector’s Bible Study, and participating in Sunday formation classes.”
– Kim Snyder, Stewardship Chair
SERVE
Just as Jesus came to us in the form of a servant, we are called to love and serve others. Helping those in need, we grow spiritually and are transformed as we develop virtues such as humility, patience, and compassion. Serving also fosters a sense of purpose and fulfillment, as we experience the joy of making a positive impact in the lives of others.
A healthy operating budget allows our parish and parishioners to do so much good in the community, and because of this, I am grateful and even more passionate about Stewardship.
– Judy Conner, Women of Saint Michael President 2024–25
GIVE
As we learn to appreciate that everything we have is a gift from God, we can express our gratitude by being more generous with our time, talents, and treasures. As we grow in our capacity to give back, we grow in our discipleship.
“Pledging deepens our faith and spiritual growth. By committing a portion of our resources to the church, we experience a tangible connection to God’s work in our community.”
–Andy Smith & Paul von Wupperfeld
Almighty God, we give thanks for your blessing upon our Saint Michael family. Guide us to commit our treasure to our shared mission and ministry so we can continue to build the kingdom together. Mold, form, challenge, and transform our hearts, oh Lord. Bless us, so that Saint Michael will continue to be a place where we do the work of building God’s kingdom. We ask this, and all things, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Your gifts help fuel the work we do as a community of faith.
