Jubilee Park
Jubilee Park is a 62-block area in the shadow of Fair Park in southeast Dallas. The community had one of the highest crime rates in the city and its elementary school was one of the worst-performing in the Dallas Independent School District. In 1997, in recognition of its 50th anniversary, Saint Michael launched a community revitalization project targeted at education, housing, and community involvement. The project has received local and national recognition for the impact it has had on the community and its residents.
Many volunteer opportunities exist at Jubilee Park, from regular weekly assignments to special events, there is a job for almost everyone! Contact: Adele Broughton or Zoe Hart.
Through Saint Michael’s seven-member Connection Team, 400 parishioners contributed countless hours of time, energy, and money to the wide array of opportunities at Jubilee Park. These opportunities include:
- Jubilee’s summer camp programs
- Food Pantry
- Senior Meals
- Senior Bingo
- Mother/Daughter Tea
- Holiday Senior Luncheons
- I Believe in Angels Christmas Gift Collection and Distribution

Volunteer Afterschool | Monday – Friday | 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Volunteers can help with things like homework help, reading 1-on-1 or in a group with the students, helping with classroom activities, or if there is a specialty like art that the volunteer is passionate about, they are also welcome to teach a class. If they would like to teach a class, we would just need to have those dates in advance so we can run it by our Education Director.
If afterschool isn’t for you, discover other opportunities to volunteer from serving senior meals, leading senior art classes, teaching in the community garden, and much more.
