IMPACT

WOSM had a broad impact within Dallas County in 2024 by providing funds to 73 nonprofit agencies, of which 71 provide services in Dallas County.

WOSM is building ongoing relationships within our community since 54 of the 73 have been funded by WOSM for the past 3 years or more.

Of the thousands of individuals receiving services by these projects, 94% were living in poverty. Since 1962, WOSM has provided cumulative funding of over $12,300,000.

GRANT APPLICATION INFORMATION

WOSM grant funds are available for stand-alone 501(c)(3) non-profit agencies serving the critical needs of residents in Dallas County as well as those agencies meeting the criteria for Episcopal grants. WOSM grant funds are generated principally through sales activity of the St. Michael’s Woman’s Exchange, parish events and activities hosted by WOSM, and generous individual donations.

The Gifts Committee is pleased to partner with Communities Foundation of Texas to provide a best-in-class experience for agencies seeking WOSM grant funding.

ALL ANGELS FOUNDATION

The All Angels Foundation, one of the charitable arms of Saint Michael, is dedicated to illuminating the world with love and bringing about transformative changes in people’s lives. Guided by the belief that love is a powerful force for action, the foundation focuses on three pillars: Elevating Acts of Love, Empowering Acts of Love, and Healing Acts of Love.

Noteworthy initiatives included substantial grants to address homelessness, and partnering with organizations like Housing Forward, Stewpot, and Elevate North Texas. Through strategic giving and collaborative partnerships, The All Angels Foundation shines as a beacon of love and hope, making tangible differences in the lives of those it serves.

IMPACT

$90,000 in AAF grants supported 3 different SMAA Ministries, for purposes outside of the SMAA operating budget.

Major grants were awarded to Housing Forward, Stewpot and Elevate North Texas. The Foundation also partnered with a private foundation to provide an urgent funding need at the Vickery Meadows campus of Literacy Achieves (total of $75K).

GRANT APPLICATION INFORMATION

Our grants focus on three areas guided by our three Pillars: Elevating. Empowering and Healing. Our pillars represent our strategic focus on the lives of our fellow citizens. We fund IRS-registered 501(c)3 organizations with preference to organizations in the North Texas region. Click here to learn more about our Pillars: https://allangelsfoundation.org/

HORIZON OUTREACH FUND

The Horizon Outreach Fund’s mission is to extend Saint Michael’s abundance beyond its doors in bold, life-changing and strategic ways. Operational since 2022, the Fund focuses its investing on bringing about systemic changes for some of the most pervasive challenges in the Dallas-Fort Worth region. Through a venture philanthropy model and following a theme of second chances, we endeavor to build long-term relationships with established nonprofit organizations that empower individuals, families and communities overcoming personal or systemic challenges. Endowed by a long-term land lease, the Fund’s committee strategically identifies and invites organizations into its investment process, with the goal of equipping them with the tools, support and networks they need to drive transformative changes. The Horizon Outreach Fund strives to foster a culture in North Texas that values second chances and recognizes the face of God in all our neighbors.

IMPACT

The Horizon Outreach Fund is a first-of-its-kind endeavor for Saint Michael, reflecting intentional steps to invest in its property, located in the heart of Dallas, while remaining focused on broader community impact. Over half of the income generated from the ground lease is deposited directly into the Fund—not into church operating funds.

Horizon Outreach Fund’s first grant was for $50,000 to Bachman Lake Together in 2023 focusing on community empowerment by funding a strategic plan for its new phase of growth.

By the end of 2028, Horizon Outreach Fund projects that it will have gifted investments totaling more than $1.0 million to local community organizations, and the value of its endowment fund balance will have grown to approximately $7.9 million (from $3.4 million at year end 2024).
