Mission & Outreach at Saint Michael
The Mission & Outreach Committee at Saint Michael is the heartbeat of community service, working closely with the Rector and Vestry to set long-term priorities and engage parishioners in impactful outreach endeavors. Their efforts extend beyond the church walls, connecting with primary community partners and organizing meaningful opportunities for service.
All Angels Foundation
The All Angels Foundation, one of the charitable arms of Saint Michael, is dedicated to illuminating the world with love and bringing about transformative changes in people’s lives. Guided by the belief that love is a powerful force for action, the foundation focuses on three pillars: Elevating Acts of Love, Empowering Acts of Love, and Healing Acts of Love.
Women of Saint Michael Gifts Committee
The Women of Saint Michael (WOSM) Gifts Committee is a driving force behind transformative change in the Dallas Community, funding vital initiatives that address critical needs and uplift communities. Annually awarding grants to 60 to 75 nonprofit agencies, with a maximum grant of $15,000 each, WOSM strategically invests in organizations serving Dallas County and those meeting Episcopal grant criteria.
Horizon Outreach Fund
The Horizon Outreach Fund, fueled by Saint Michael’s abundance and a commitment to bold, life-changing initiatives outside the Church, endeavors to address pressing community challenges in the Dallas/Fort Worth region. Endowed by a long-term land lease, the committee strategically invites not-for-profit agencies and awards substantial grants over one to three years.
MISSION & OUTREACH AT SAINT MICHAELS AND ALL ANGELS
The Mission & Outreach Committee at Saint Michael is the heartbeat of community service, working closely with the Rector and Vestry to set long-term priorities and engage parishioners in impactful outreach endeavors. Their efforts extend beyond the church walls, connecting with primary community partners and organizing meaningful opportunities for service.
With 452 volunteers contributing tens of thousands of hours, Mission & Outreach at Saint Michael is not just about volunteering but about building lasting relationships and making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
IMPACT
88 Youth volunteers in 2023 worked over 4500 service hours serving 755 children during the Youth Mission Week camp at Stephen C. Foster Elementary School and on the Youth Mission Trip to Amistad Bolivia
In 2023 Mission and Outreach provided grants to long-term community partners and funding to other ministry partners through special collections and other grants totaling over $379,500
452 unique Volunteers from Saint Michael signed up to provide tens of 1000’s of hours of service through our Mission and Outreach projects in 2023

The Women of Saint Michael (WOSM) Gifts Committee is a driving force behind transformative change in the Dallas Community, funding vital initiatives that address critical needs and uplift communities. Annually awarding grants to 60 to 75 nonprofit agencies, with a maximum grant of $15,000 each, WOSM strategically invests in organizations serving Dallas County and those meeting Episcopal grant criteria.
In 2024, WOSM’s impact extended to 73 nonprofit agencies, reaching a diverse array of individuals living in poverty. With a rich history of community engagement since 1962, WOSM continues to foster enduring relationships, empower change-makers, and touch the lives of thousands in need.
IMPACT
WOSM had a broad impact within Dallas County in 2024 by providing funds to 73 nonprofit agencies, of which 71 provide services in Dallas County.
WOSM is building ongoing relationships within our community since 54 of the 73 have been funded by WOSM for the past 3 years or more.
Of the thousands of individuals receiving services by these projects, 94% were living in poverty. Since 1962, WOSM has provided cumulative funding of over $12,300,000.
GRANT APPLICATION INFORMATION
WOSM grant funds are available for stand-alone 501(c)(3) non-profit agencies serving the critical needs of residents in Dallas County as well as those agencies meeting the criteria for Episcopal grants. WOSM grant funds are generated principally through sales activity of the St. Michael’s Woman’s Exchange, parish events and activities hosted by WOSM, and generous individual donations.
The Gifts Committee is pleased to partner with Communities Foundation of Texas to provide a best-in-class experience for agencies seeking WOSM grant funding.
ALL ANGELS FOUNDATION
The All Angels Foundation, one of the charitable arms of Saint Michael, is dedicated to illuminating the world with love and bringing about transformative changes in people’s lives. Guided by the belief that love is a powerful force for action, the foundation focuses on three pillars: Elevating Acts of Love, Empowering Acts of Love, and Healing Acts of Love.
Noteworthy initiatives included substantial grants to address homelessness, and partnering with organizations like Housing Forward, Stewpot, and Elevate North Texas. Through strategic giving and collaborative partnerships, The All Angels Foundation shines as a beacon of love and hope, making tangible differences in the lives of those it serves.
IMPACT
Of the $290,000 in distributions, $200,000 in grants were awarded to 7 community nonprofits. So, 69% of outflows went directly to the community.
$90,000 in AAF grants supported 3 different SMAA Ministries, for purposes outside of the SMAA operating budget.
Major grants were awarded to Housing Forward, Stewpot and Elevate North Texas. The Foundation also partnered with a private foundation to provide an urgent funding need at the Vickery Meadows campus of Literacy Achieves (total of $75K).
