WHERE: Room 103

To date, over 2,801 prayer shawls have been knitted and distributed by the Saint Michael Prayer Shawl Knitting Ministry, extending the love of our parish to those who are hurting or ill. Each of these shawls is tagged with a label that identifies it as being knit with love at Saint Michael and a healing prayer is added. Each shawl is blessed by the clergy and by the entire congregation prior to distribution. Join us for camaraderie, prayers and the joy of knitting a message of love. Praying Our Goodbyes is a grief and support ministry at Saint Michael for those who are experiencing a loss of any kind. Christian Basel, [email protected] to RSVP or with questions.
THURSDAYS
GRASP Dallas Chapter
Grief Recovery After Substance Passing
WHEN: 6:30 p.m. Meeting on the Second Thursday of the month
WHERE: Parlor
GRASP was created to offer understanding, compassion, and support for those who have lost someone they love through addiction and overdose. Anyone who has lost a loved one through substance use knows that society treats this loss differently than a death from any other cause. There is no blame. The person struggled with their disease but, ultimately, this disease took their life. Everyone who wants to find a safe place to express their concern, grief and walk toward understanding and grief recovery from the passing of a loved one from substance death, is welcome. For more information: See http://grasphelp.org/ Or contact Paula Calise, [email protected]
