Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacramental rite in which the baptized Christian expresses a mature commitment to Christ, and receives strength from the Holy Spirit through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop. (Book of Common Prayer, p. 860)
At Saint Michael, Confirmation classes are available for Youth and Adults. Youth Confirmation is available each school year for students in 8th grade and older. Adult Confirmation preparation is provided by the new Fall Saint Michael 101 offering; contact Beth Igoe for additional details.

The Saint Michael Confirmation experience for students 8th grade and above! Our new program expands beyond the 9-month class to incorporate new trips and classes for each school year. See below for highlights, key dates, and registration.
Details & Requirements
- Confirmation is available to students 8th grade and older
- The cost is $350 per person, which covers curriculum, the opening retreat, and a James Avery confirmation ring.
- Our Confirmation classes will take place on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. in person. There are 28 classes total, each student is allowed to miss up to 5 classes. Classes meet in-person each week.
- Required Confirmation Retreat in the Fall (see current program date below)
- Required Parent’s Meeting prior to class start (see date below)
Important Dates for 2025–2026 Confirmation
- Required Parents Meeting:
- Sunday, August 17, Parents required to attend first class with students at 10 a.m. in the youth center for Confirmation overview and expectations.
- Required Confirmation Retreat: Friday, September 12 @ 5 p.m. – Saturday, September 13 @ 8 p.m.
- Retreat will take place at Sky Ranch in Van, Texas. Transportation will be provided to and from the retreat.
- Sunday classes will run from August 17, 2025 – May 17, 2026
- 28 classes total, each student is allowed to miss up to 5 classes. Classes meet in-person each week.
- No class on the following dates:
- November 30 – Advent Festival
- December 28 – Christmas Break
- January 4 – Christmas Break
- April 5 – Easter Sunday

You’ll gain insights into our faith and learn how we put it into action through praying, learning, serving, and giving.
This Saint Michael 101 class will take place on Sundays during the 10 a.m. formation hour during the Spring and Fall semesters. Adult Confirmation preparation is provided by the Saint Michael 101 offering; contact Beth Igoe for additional details. Childcare will be provided. See dates below.
