Sunday School

7th-12th grade

Sundays, 10-10:50AM, Youth Center

7th and 8th grade youth meet weekly on Sunday mornings in the Orange Room (old game room) in the Youth Center. This year, the group will be using the curriculum Echo The Story to dive into the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

Using an exciting and engaging lectionary-based curriculum called Teen Text, 9th-12th grade youth will look at weekly scripture and answer provocative questions that encourage participation through activities centered around the text, and supplemental media.  We will dive into the story each week by exploring other outlets such as song lyrics, poetry, visual arts, and movie clips that will help us to better understand the material.

Disciples Confirmation Class

Sundays, 10 am, Theater

Disciples class is a 6th grade confirmation and Sunday school class. It focuses on the way confirmation furthers our faith journey with a focus on a biblical foundation and a knowledge of the church. In Disciples class, students participate in a high-energy, interactive, large group experience and also spend an entire year with a “tribe,” or small group, led by two adults. In addition to Sunday morning classes, there are two service opportunities — one in the fall and one in the spring — followed by a retreat, Kick-Off Party, and “Bring a Mentor” Sunday. The year culminates in Confirmation during the Spring.
