2023 EASTER PLATE OFFERINGS
Each year at Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, as part of our Easter celebrations, we have a lovely tradition of giving 100% of our undesignated offerings on Easter Day to outreach projects supported by our parish. This year’s theme is around Housing, and the agencies are all local. The selected organizations are active in helping individuals achieve a high-quality life in safe, financially secure, beautiful homes. The agencies include:
The Bridge is a Homeless Recovery Center for individuals without a home in Dallas County. Our doors are open twenty-four hours per day, seven days a week, and is the only shelter in Dallas providing day shelter services to all adults experiencing homelessness. The Bridge offers basic needs services including hot showers, nutritious meals, and haircuts, as well as intensive services such as physical and mental health evaluations and care management services for almost 500 Guests every day and night shelter for 300 Guests each night. Through collaborative relationships with homeless services partners, The Bridge creates a one-stop-shop experience enhancing a Guest’s ability to implement a Care and Housing Plan, or strategy for exiting homelessness.
Change a living space. Change a life.
A foundation is not just what is under a home. At Dwell with Dignity believes it can also be what surrounds you in it, giving families the stability, confidence and pride to move forward. Using our skills as designers, together with the help of dedicated volunteers and the generous donations of hundreds, we are committed to creating living spaces for families from which families can build new lives.
Housing Forward, formerly Metro Dallas Homeless Alliance (MDHA), was founded in 2002 to serve as a collective voice for homelessness in Dallas and Collin Counties. Housing Forward has the expertise, partnerships, and resources to lead a system-wide, data-driven strategy to solve homelessness in our community. Housing Forward leads in the development and implementation of an effective homeless response system to make homelessness rare, brief, and non-recurring in Dallas and Collin Counties.
