Dr. Ruben Habito, currently Professor of World Religions and Spirituality and Director of Spiritual Formation at the Perkins School of Theology, SMU, is a distinguished scholar and educator. His extensive academic journey includes earning a Doctor of Letters Certificate from Tokyo University, along with degrees from Sophia University and Ateneo de Manila University. With expertise in world religions, East Asian Buddhism, and comparative theology, Dr. Habito's teaching and research delve into interreligious perspectives, spirituality, and mysticism. Notable accomplishments include his election to the American Theological Society in 2015, serving as President of the Society for Buddhist Christian Studies from 2003 to 2005, and being honored as a Henry Luce III Fellow in Theology in 1995-96. Dr. Habito's dedication to bridging spiritual traditions and exploring themes in socio-ecological engagement continues to enrich academic discourse and spiritual practice worldwide.
Singer, songwriter from Texarkana, David Tribble began writing & playing during his college years in his dorm room, and in the church house. After a long career as a Middle school teacher, music never lost its way or it’s fire. He now spans across the Folk, Indie and Americana genres as a winsome troubadour with parables to share from his own journey as a man, husband & father where he now calls Fort Worth, TX. home.
