TELA, HONDURAS DAY 4
Tuesday, February 14
By the Rev. Robin Hinkle

Today we celebrated Valentine’s Day with our friends in Honduras–they love this celebration. I gave away hundreds of stickers to the Ninos. We also fit a huge line of people for glasses and of course did fluoride for the children.

We have been working in multiple barrios in public schools. We went to two today. Campo Elvir is up a mountain on a dirt road that is especially interesting in this rainy season. We also went to Saucey this afternoon where I found a plaque commemorating our work! This is the second Barrio where I have found such a commemoration. Saint Michael has single handily built multiple classrooms, installed a water pump, built playgrounds and essentially doubled the size of these schools that have very little resources. The children are so welcoming and enthusiastic as are many of their mothers. Our veteran missionaries are amazing and Our new young adults are really doing a phenomenal job in this work!
