Youth Mission Week 2023 | Day 5

Friday, June 9
By the Rev. Robin Hinkle

Our last day of camp was so wonderful starting with our pep rally and songs. We then had field day games, percussion music time, and made beaded necklaces and bracelets. We also have the kids the stained glass vase they made filled with fresh flowers to take home. We also shared a special lunch of Cane’s chicken and Kona ice.

This morning’s reading in 2nd Corinthians summed up our amazing week!

Paul writes “and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.”

Kudos to our youth and Sam Moore for showering this school with so much love and joy which was then received back by us 10 fold. On our last day of Camp Foster the preschool gave us a giant thank you card with a heart on it followed up by hugs all around! For all the kids and staff of Foster, and Saint Michael staff, adult volunteers and youth–Hugs and love and farewell ’til we meet again!
