Director of Communications

My heritage is Scottish, and I'm a student of the world. I love travelling, and immersing myself in different cultures, learning to see that culture the way its natives do. My happy place is high in the mountains (I've climbed part of Mt. Everest and summitted Kilimanjaro) or on the beach with great friends and family--and food--cuisine is a serious hobby!

For 15+ years I've been directing, designing and consulting on all things creative and communications/marketing with agencies, non-profits, churches, banks, Broadway presenters, and more--and I'm glad to add Saint Michael to the list! It's such an honor to work with the team here, shoulder to should with quality, passionate leaders and parishioners.

I'm also an opera guy: I've sung nearly 70 productions, including the world premier of Heggie's "Moby Dick" with The Dallas Opera and others.

Reach out with any questions or just to say hello!

December is Mental Health/Stress/Grief Awareness Month! The Saint Michael Parish Nurse Ministry is made up of professional Registered Nurses from our parish. Among other services, the Parish Nurses maintain a station in the South Entrance on the third Sunday of each month, taking blood pressures and providing information regarding the focus of health awareness for the month.

Nativity Pageant and Traditional Worship - Eucharist Rite I

Sunday, December 15, 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Don't miss out as Saint Michael and All Angels' youngest parishioners reenact the story of the birth of Jesus! The performance will be streamed at saintmichael.org/live.
The 11:00 a.m. service in the Church is a traditional Rite I Eucharist. The adult choir and organ lead the congregation in hymns and service music. As a more musically substantial service, the choir also sings the Psalm, an Offertory anthem, a Communion motet, and on feast days a Choral Mass setting. The greatest feast days also regularly include orchestra. A cross-section of the parish attends this service, which uses the Book of Common Prayer and Hymnal.

If you are new to Saint Michael, curious about the path to membership, or simply want to learn more about life at our parish community, we invite you to join us for two different class events we have throughout the year: "Saint Michael 101" is an introduction to life here at SMAA, and "Episcopal Christians", where we explore what it means to walk as a Christian in the Episcopal tradition, discussing topics like our Anglican heritage, worship, the Bible and formation etc.

Flowers in our holy worship spaces are a beautiful gift to God and those who attend services at Saint Michael as well as those being honored or remembered. A contribution to the Flower Fund is a meaningful way to honor or remember a loved one for special life events such as birthdays, anniversaries, baptisms, confirmations, thanksgivings, or in memory of a loved one.

The Foundation of Saint Michael and All Angels is essential to the vitality, growth, stability and success of our parish. Its grants support the mission of the Parish, consistent with priorities established by the Vestry and the Rector.
