Saint Michael Choir
Public Gatherings Limited By Pandemic
During these unusual times, please refer to our COVID-19 page for regular updates.
The Saint Michael Choir is the church's adult choir. They rehearse on Wednesday night and sing for the 11:00 Sunday Eucharist in the church, plus extra special services such as Evensong, Holy Week services, Advent Lessons & Carols, and Christmas Lessons & Carols. Comprising adults from high school through retirement and supported by professional staff singers, the choir strives for the highest standards of excellence in giving glory to God through its musical leadership in liturgy. Drawing its core repertoire from the Anglican cathedral heritage, the choir also regularly sings a variety of sacred choral music, including pieces by American composers and works with orchestra on festival days. Due to the nature of the choir and its repertoire, a strong level of commitment is needed from members for Wednesday night rehearsals and services with warm ups on Sunday. For more information, including to discuss joining the choir, please contact Director of Music Jonathan Ryan ([email protected] or ext. 223).
